Nice article in Rider Magazine. They say Victory wanted to polarize people with this new bike. Mission accomplished. I hope they didn't bet the farm on this thing. I see the first few going quickly to those with a Flash Gordon fetish(btw,I thought Ming's daughter was hot). Park it next to the Rune.

You'll see, first Japan Inc, then HD, will be copying the styling queues from the Vision. Besides, it's built on a good chassis with a strong motor & tranny.
Get used to it, it's the 21st century and not everyone wants a bike with retro-60s styling.

Check out the HD Rocker. Seems to me somebody at the Motor Company liked the Victory Hammer.

I Think Victory went out on a limb with this one, the have some really nice bikes. A friend has a kingpin and it really runs and handles well.

There are now a total of four luxury touring bikes on the market.
Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Gold Wing. K1200LT. Vision.
Note how it's not even necessary to mention the manufacturer.

We've added the Vision to our touring bike list. My wife loves it, but I think it's a RoboCop thing. I patiently delay buying a true touring bike, in hopes that Triumph will get serious about long distance touring. I love the ST, but it's too small, the Tiger is perfect for me alone (except for my 31" inseam). My wife doesn't want the Tiger or BMW's R12GS. But I want a bike I don't have to polish every week - just get on and ride. Victory? I talked with 7 Victory owner's at bike night last night. They all had the same two words for me: Bulletproof and smooth. I just wish they'd take that "polaris" name off the badge. Polaris is a bad (lousy, not good) ATV, rated at the bottom of every ATV review.

Dennis
Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

Dennis, a lot of Victory guys change the badge out because of the Polaris name. PM me if you're interested.

The Vision and the Rune both belong in Buck Rogers or Logan's Run. Just my opinion, though, and I would be happy to ride with any members on this site who have either.
Good enough disclaimer?

You know it doesn't look cool without riders but the way the passenger pillion disappears into the driver's seat when it's not in use is really trick. You get a solo look bike until you need to two up and then you flip out the pillion and away you go, no tools neccessary. That'll change a few minds in the long run.

Just my 2 cents but that Rocker C pillion looks even more useless than the passenger "pad" on the Speedy gunfighter/gunslinger seat.

I kind of like it. I'm hoping that the supposed 1500+cc cruiser from Triumph has a full front fairing as an option.

An easy on, easy off full fairing for a larger Triumph cruiser would be spectacular. On for the winter, off for the summer. Just a few bolts and headlight and turn signal connectors???

Motorcyclist Magazine named it one of their motorcycles of the year.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

You need to check out this video review Throttle Jockey and then make up your mind. It's a lot cooler than the photo. That said, it ain't a Triumph.
