I really have absolutely no idea how I feel about that video. On the one hand, I think criminals get what they deserve, on the other hand, that video is just scary to me as a rider.

Agreed.
The moment you've got hostages and utter the phrase:
"I have a bomb" (this guy mentioned a grenade)
All Bets Are Off

Ive got no sympathy for this guy what so ever.

He robbed a bank and took hostages. **** him and the horse he rode in on. And in this case, quite literally.

I've seen that clip a million times (without narration) but never heard the story behind it. Thanks!

Yep, without the sound on it looks like a cat and his buddies splitting up after drinks and a cager nails him. Sound on, the Spanish Police make forceful statement! Don't act like a terrorist unless you can handle the consequences of a rough landing.

I saw this one recently;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejYnmaCFxPI

If you look closely there are two people on this bike. The passenger does a pretty impressive double flip, the driver gets up and runs off.

Looks like they were running from the police going the wrong way on a one-way road.

I have no sympathy either. I think the unmarked car should have run over him a few times by accident after the crash. He too hostages ,he claimed to have a bomb , he took peoples money, he endangered the lives of others on purpose, he made terroristic threats, he got less than he deserved in my book.

Fred - a man after my own heart!!!!
Had a case here recently of a dude from "down south" a hundred miles or so, who decide to run from police cause his license was suspended - had a pillon at the time. Ran 50+ miles at 130mph average. Finally quit when he saw the helicopter and realized he wasn't getting away. The GF was initially taken at gunpoint until they realized that she was just a helpless passenger.
I actually apologized to the judge after the sentencing for going off in court (wasn't my case I was covering at the last minute and didn't realize what it was). I wanted to sting him up!!!! For lots of reasons.
Oh, he had no MC endorcement on his license - if he had actually had a license. He said he was addicted to speed!!!

Done now.
Becky

A hostage taker / robber / possible hand grenade-er --
I'd say he got what was coming to him.

In some parts of Texas they would have then hung him after scraping him off the road.
