You could try getting the size just larger than you need in the imperial size and putting a dollop of silicone sealant on the bolt head to hold it in place. I've fitted a couple of them to my BA and it worked for me.....if you need to remove them in the future a tug with a pair of grips, padded with some rag, takes them off again. Harley parts, ain't they ??

Harley parts, ain't they ?? The picture is probably of a Harley part, but the ones I saw at the hardware store are produced by Cy-Chrome. I can't find a website for them. I'm going to try your idea. They don't carry any metric ones. For standard sizes, I'd need a 1/2" one and they only go up to 3/8" on that site. Doesn't everybody's life revolve around food?
