Just starting to read about and price helmets and I'm wondering if somebody can recommend some comfortable, quit and saft helmets w/out gigantic symbols or logos? I like a simple looking helmet.

Opinion and recommendations on any style are welcome.
thanks!!!

These look pretty sano, but are not DOT rated. The Biltwell stickers peel off.

Biltwell Helmets

They make them plain so folks can pinstripe.

You need to decide if you want DOT/SNELL, full-faced, half or 3/4 size.

HJC Stickers peel right off.

My wife has one of these. It's a great helmet - well padded and comfortable. An $8 Echo quick release won't hurt anything either. I may invest in one me-self to get into the quiet of a 3/4 helmet. For $60, you can't go wrong.

Just a random thought out loud - I've been buying new motorcycle stuff off ebay lately, as the shipping from ebayers is often light years quicker than the other motorcycle specific online vendors. With our short riding season here, waiting a month for stuff to arrive got old.

I wear this on the highway, probably the nicest helmet I've ever owned (also the most costly at $150).

Good luck finding a Snell/DOT rated helmet that meets your requirement of "simple looking".

Yeah, with the visor removed and shield in place, this thing is beautiful on cooler days. I have a smoke shield and don't even need glasses underneath. That's a nice feeling. Almost the coverage of full-faced lid but with much better visibility and versatility.

The "S" emblem will peel off....

The Scorpions are both DOT and Snell rated. The "S" logo on the front peels off easily.

I have the Nitro helmet that echoes this Scorpion model with the face shield for cooler riding. Both my Bell R/T and the Nitro are DOT rated. That's important to me because I wear them and I want them to work.

I love my Scorpion helmet. I have the EXO-700. The only logo is the S on the front.
