I signed up for the motorcycle safety training program a couple of weekends ago. The only problem is that the first opening (close to my work) was August 7. It is taking FOREVER!!!!

However it has given me the chance to contact some dealers to let them know what I'm looking for in a bike. Hopefully a steal will pop up between now and my graduation.

I'm sure I'll waste hours reading posts and trying to figure out which helmet, gloves etc... to buy.

The only good news is - I'm almost 100% sure its going to be Triumph. That Pacific Blue / New England White or Phantom Black / Sunset Red look very nice!!!!!

Time stands still in a biker's world on rainy days and while waiting for mc repairs, delivery dates....Winter is torture.

Check out all the Triumph aftermarket sites....

You're lucky. When I signed up in June the first available class was September 7th. I went and sat in on a couple until there was a no-show and got in a couple of weekends ago.

And my new ride should be assembled and ready early next week...

How comfortable did you feel when you got your bike home (after the course)? I'm probably going to stick around my neighborhood for a while before heading out into areas w/ more traffic.

I didn't take the course....spent an afternoon riding a dirt bike around my ex-husband's yard to get the hang of braking/shifting....he had ridden my teeny tiny 250 Honda Rebel home from the guy's house I bought if from ( for $400!!! Score!)...then we went down to an industrial park, I spent a whole Sunday practicing with no traffic around ( we packed a lunch in his saddlebags, LOL.....then neighborhood roads after work for a week or so.....then roads I knew...
