What are the steps?
I have an 04 so I am expecting the wiring harness/coupling piece to be under the 'T' blanking disc.
Do I remove the disc, or do I remove the chrome dash piece, in its entirety?

Do you need the instructions? I can e-mail them to you this evening. But yes, you need to pull the dash.

Remove the three screws that attach the console to the tank, unplug the harness and remove the console from the bike.. pop out the insert from the back side. Install the rubber grommet provided and place tach in the hole.. tighten the nut that holds it in place and plug in the two connectors to their respective mates. Reconnect console plug and install the screws.

Make sure that the rubber ring is slid onto the tack correctly before you slip it into the dash. It's pretty simple to figure, but I had it upside down the first time.

Heard something about the tachs not being wired right if they don't indicate below 1200 rpm which seems to be the case for mine . Anybody have the low down.
