Anyone else had a copy of the the new Official Magazine of Triumph Owners Worldwide. Had a quick scan thru it, looks pretty enough. But seems to be preaching to the converted, more like a sales brochure. Hopefully it'll improve, just my two cents worth. Now i'll go back and read it.

You are correct.
Before people start whining (and they will), y'all gotta realize this is nothing but a glorified brochure for Triumph, probably even more so than Torque. There's not going to be anything substantive, except possibly event coverage. The bike reviews are ridiculous unless they start republishing third party reviews (and those would only be the good ones), and the staff profiles are fluff.
It's definitely worth the price we pay for it, but I don't understand what they're trying to accomplish. Perhaps they're just trying to inspire current Triumph owners to buy another one or buy merchandise. Is it better than nothing? I don't know.

Wouldn't it be cool if in their corporate publications that companies send out to the "converted"(the wife still gets this same sort of thing from Subaru every few months even though she bought an Outback some 5 years ago) would include articles about upcoming models and the process that's taking place in their design studios at the moment to bring these new models to the market???
Like THAT's ever going to happen though!
I know their mentality is, "well, if we show the consumer what we've got in store for them, they wouldn't buy what we make now!"
I've always wondered if that is true...or just an excuse.
Thoughts anyone?!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I am sure of of the things they are thinking of is that they are hoping that after we are done flipping through is that we will give the magazine away or leave it somewhere that others will read it.

No, no, no, no, no. That would just create demand for the upcoming models and that never works! Just don't tell Apple that it didn't work for the iPhone...

Not too sure about the "She's wearing, He's wearing" bit. If I wanted to know about that I'd buy Vogue.

One trait of the LEXUS owner's magazine is the fine ads for day spas, luxury resorts, expensive and unusual watches, etc. I never read the articles, but I do check out the ads and the websites for those that interest me. One I liked this month: ORIS WATCHES
Keith Houston Ridin'Texas '04 Speedmaster AI removed, Pingle, UNI Filter, 1 shim, straight-through slash-cut TORs, Stage 1 DynaJet, 140 mains, 3 turns, 16/42 final drive, 115K 2020 T120 Black
