OK. I got a new battery the other day. Rode around all day. Got back, flicked the (cheetah) alarm and went to bed.
Got up the next day and ,,, nothing,,, The entire system was dead. not even a dim dash light. I immediately checked the main fuses and the alarm fuses everything fine. I then had to run a catch a bus so I left it till the afternoon. I got back and I was tired and couldn't figure it out. So I called the RACQ (auto club) aand got them out. He said have you checked the fuses. I said yes. What about all of them? Not all I said. Anyway we go through the fuse box one by one and sure enough the instrumentation light fuse was blown. Replaced it and everything came back fine.
I did 14 years fixing electronics in aircraft. I know the electrickery problems will do your mind in but this blew me away.
I knew I should have done the fuse thing straight away. Always check the simple things first. (brain fart I suppose, It was a very important day)
Now can anyone explain this to me?
