And a good time it was!
Well, Anna and I went to our first RAT pack meeting Friday night. My bike was at the dealers to have my Bubs installed (more on that later) and we were going to pick it up after work on Friday. So I get an Email from Matt at "Machines in Motion" telling us about the meeting and a planned ride beforehand. We got to the dealers a bit early to get the bike and wait for the other riders to arrive. While we were waiting Matt gave us a free soda, what a guy---. Anyway, about 6:15 we head out for a ride around the Cumming (GA.) area. A Speedy, my America, a few crotch rockets, a Scrambler, a, uh-hum, Harley, and a last minute arrival, a scooter. After about a 45 minute ride we arrived at "Good O'le Days", restaurant and bar.
We had a great dinner, fish and chips for me and a salmon salad for Anna. I, of course, had my two beers, which is my limit when riding. We got to meet some really nice folks, hear some great stories, and, hopefully, met some new friends.
After this experience I can only say that if any of you have the time to go to these meetings, do it! You will have a great time, meet some great people and learn all kinds of good things.
Oh yuh, the pipes.
Well, after waiting almost a month for my pipes to come in, and being quite excited when they did---I bring the bike to M.I.M. to have them installed. The next day I get this call from Myra. She says, "I was dreading to call you, I have a problem with your bike".

So I'm now expecting the worse---did they drop it, did someone run over it? What happened to my baby----
Well, she was just calling to tell me that when they opened the boxes one of the new pipes had a problem with the chrome and that they didn't want to put them on my bike. She thought I would be upset. Nope, my response; "I'm glad that's the kind of dealer you are". I may have never noticed the flaw, but they cared enough that they wouldn't install a defective item on my ride.
Thanks again to the folks at Machines in Motion---you are the greatest!!!!
Paw.
