I know "Confucius say..One picture is worth a thousand words", but come on Mike! Give us a little insight into what these beautiful pics are telling us here, Dude!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Right OK. Sorry. So, not to sound too bourgeois, but the Mrs. and me'selwf too a seven day cruise from Seattle, WA to Jueanu, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria BC When we docked into Ketchikan, I had planned a 3 hour motorcycle tour of the island. The rental was this 883 you see pictured above. It rode like a paint mixer. I could have upgraded to a Softail Deluxe, for an additional $85. But, since the tour was $255 to begin with, I opted to take the Sporty. The weather was rainy.. the bike handled poorly..any stock America could tear this thing apart. The trip was amazing. We also took a Jeep through the Yukon. The landscape of Alaska is truly remarkable.
I have lots of pics (around 200). When I get them posted, I will throw an OFOTO link up here, for all who are interesed.

Wow Seattle to Jueanu if you do it again, contact Tourmeister first and volunteer to be a rain gear tester.

And there was me thinking you were test riding the new Triumph 1200 cruiser
Nice pictures. I envy you. I know a few people who have had the pleasure of visiting Alaska. The storeys and pictures always make me jealous.

Nice pictures, I'll have to post my pictures. I just got back from Kenai. I was a little disappointed with the commercialization of the Kenai River. Big fish but too many people and boats to get that real Alaska feeling.

Funny you mention... because with the exception of Ketchikan, each port town seemed as fabricated as a Disney Epcot Country - built for tourists.
But, I suppose if a souvenir T-shirt shop was once a store which sold baby seal pelts, I am ok with the homogenization of the town.
