Is that an "oil in frame" set up? Way cool!

An old pre unit twin, similar to my 1960. could not keep it from dripping oil from the primary chain cover with the sealants they had back in the early 80's. Brings back...... nice looking bike. Looks like fun to putt around on for a while.

cooling fins that wrap around the pipe and clamp on with one bolt. Seemed all the older engines had them (what I remember).

I've been nagging our vendors off and on about developing finned exhaust clamps for our bikes.

Great idea FJ! They'd have another buyer right here.

Yeah, I think they could sell at least a few dozen sets, but that may not be worth it for them.

It would the the finishing touch on one of those Bellacorse retro kits.

Cool! Did you find those at an online shop? If so, where?

The origonal finned clamps won't work you would need either something 2 piece or hinged to get past the bolt ears that mount our pipes.
The bike in the pic has an oil tank and is not a pre-unit.

I was intrigued by the filler cap behind the neck and the braided hoses coming out of the frame which made me think it was a modified oil-in-frame. It looked to me like the oil tank was a dummy (tool box?) and the other "hoses" were sleeved battery cables, but I could easily be wrong.
