Today is Ride To Work day.

I know a bunch of you ride to work on a daily basis. But for those of you who dont. How many of you have your bikes parked out side the office today.

I do.

Not me, had too much bulky stuff to deliver to work today. I knew it, too, which made it all the more dreary not to scoot today.

I ride everyday...so to make an event out of it, I decided to ride without my raingear. Hopefully I'll dry off before it's time to go home.

No I didn't remember, but I ride to work almost everyday anyway!

My wife and I are down to one 4-wheeled vehicle at the moment, so the Speedy is my main form of transportation. On Friday she and the kids are leaving for Utah to visit family, etc. and I'll be car-less for nearly 10 days. Hopefully I don't need to carry anything major during those days.

Although, I managed to get 50 t-shirts on the bike Monday, so if I can do that, I should be OK.

I have to pick up my GF at the airport this afternoon, and I'll be leaving from 'work' to go get her. She overpacks, so no, I didn't remember OR ride. I'll make up for it tomorrow, though. Promise!

Ear infection..ouch. A good scotch will sort that out.

Is it ride to work day in the UK as well.

Yep. Just not well advertised.

And I'd have a scotch but there are two things stopping me.

1. I can't. The antibiotics won't let me.

2. I don't like scotch.

It's also "violent thunderstorm all day" day today.

If I could figure out how to fit a Charger's full trunk worth of parts and tools into my saddlebags, I might ride to work. Ever...

I work at home, and have no need to go out today. Good thing, since it is hot and steamy and about to storm. Had a meeting at a jobsite yesterday about 75 miles away. Rode to that in the 90+ heat and humidity.

You must have gotten soaked if rained as hard in the city as it did here.

I wasn't going to. I got my fill of riding last weekend (when I binge like that I tend to take a few days off) and it's going to be hot today. But I jumped on the scoot anyway this morning, not remembering what day it is.

Same here. It's been so dry this summer I've ridden to work many more days than not, just not today between the heavy downpours in the forecast and, again, the bulky item errands to run. Tomorrow's the day so it'll be a belated "ride to work" day here in north Alabama.

Yep, Yep, Thunderstorm all day today. It's ok though, I ride almost everyday so missing it onec wasn't a big deal. I had to get the Jeep to the dealer anyway, had to get a recall fixed. Also today is a great day to see how the new bike cover works, I just took a peek under the cover and not a drop on the bike, excellent

I ride almost every day, and I rode today, rain or not.

Insignificant. Ride to work day is for HD riders. I am weird I guess, since I rode to work every day for the past year, 2 months. I took the truck twice this week, after finding it in the back yard during a weed eater project.

I did.

After riding almost every day last year, I have really slacked off this year, on a day-to-day basis anyway. I want to be safe, and would care not to have to leave shoes at the office, but I have yet to find something suitable I can feel safe riding in (boot-wise) that also meets the definition of "dress shoes" as I am told I am required to wear. I cheat every now and then and wear my Red Wing Pecos boots, or my Tony Lamas'(I had the soles changed to a Goodyear lug so I can ride in them, and they look GREAT!)

It rained here I think 24 of 31 days in June, and so far 15 of 18 days in July. I'll be glad when winter returns!

It rained today again, but stopped before quitting time.

Man, I can't understand all these Denverites complaining about the heat. DOn't they remember we had snow on the ground for like two months not that long ago? Global warming=not that bad, I say.

I didn't ride to work today, even though I do 90% of the time, go figure. They're forecasting thundershowers tomorrow, so I'm gonna ride tomorrow to make up for it!

As promised, I got my belated "Ride to Work" day in today. Bonus round: my employer had a computer problem at his lake house and I got an additional 100 miles round trip on the clock! Gotta love days when you're paid to enjoy the ride.

I work out my house more than I do the office so the commute may be really short. But since I fill the Triumph an average of 2.5 times a week during the warmer months and the Blazer once every three months, the Blue Streak has been to the office a lot.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I would have ridden to work today, but the ground is a bit too soft out behind the house where I was clearing out the remains of a tree I cut down.
