From Motorcycle.com the new 2007 Speedmaster is supposed to have a new chainguard. Wonder what the difference/improvement is:

"Triumph has also gussied up the Speedmaster. The Speedmaster is a power-cruiser take on the America, with a blacked-out motor, drag-style bars, a sleek chopper-style seat, slash-cut mufflers, a small tachometer (that's available as an accessory for the America) and an extra
front brake disc. It also gets new cast wheels for 2007, along with four new paint schemes and the new footrest hanger and chain guard as well.

(Also, I don't know what the Speedmaster will do with 3 front disk brakes )

I think they just slapped on a chrome chainguard. The 07's I looked at had identical chainguards to my '02 (in style/fitment).

I'd love to see those changes. Anyone have one of the updated models? I have yet to receive my chain guard replacement from Triumph USA. I shipped on June 26th. I'll contact Peter Carleo if nothing is rec'd by July 26th.

That writeup doesn't mention the sprocket cover.
I kinda think that's what they meant.

I saw a couple of new speedies last weekend at the dealer...didn't notice anything about the chainguard. However, the new rear peg hangers are nice! I think that I may pick up a pair and replace my 2003 hangers..

Even with limited intelligence, I can see the difference between "Broken Chain guards - How many?" (a poll) and "Failed chain guards: Comments & research" (where you comment).
