Any recomendation on the most preferred repair manual on BAs? I was looking at this
Haynes Manual
but wanted to check with some experienced folks before purchasing. Thanks in advance!

The Haynes is for an average wrencher, where the Trump manual is written for a mechanic.
I actually have both, best of both worlds. Each has a different look at things. Haynes has great pictures and some excellent "tool Tips", but Triumph manual is more technical and laid out better.

The manuals are just a starting point. For the latest and best information you just have to look on this site.

Stephen, considering that you can't read too well you may want to get the one with the pictures. Ha!

I think it depends on skill level. I have the Triumph manual and like stated above it is geared to mechanics. Very little how to stuff they just assume you know all the little stuff. So if you already know basics the Triumph manual is good if you need hand holding then the Haynes combined with the Triumph manuals is probably best.

On a side manual note the old 500cc manual showed the oil lines backwards in the diagram. It had the return on the feed and vise versa.

Dealers can get 'em.
They get $90 or so.
They're four hole punched and come with a binder.

I've seen 'em on ebay, too.
Don't see one there right now, though.
I don't know if the ones I've seen there previously are legit originals or some kind of copy.
Don't remember noticing the binder & don't know how they punch 'em.

The older Triumph manuals were paper-back book bound. The newer ones are loose-leaf, good for adding printed pages from here and Jenks and the like. I've gotten more useful info from this site than the manual. Manual has wiring diagrams and torque values, though.

Dog some of the old manuals did come in paper-back bound. I have both paper-back and loose leaf for my speedmaster and loose leaf for the rocket 3......Angelis

I believe Lonzo was talking about the older manuals for the BA/SM (way back in 02 ). Those all came bound as books.

I have the Haynes Manual and it works fine for me. I would like to get the Triumph one day but its a little pricey for me now. Maybe I could get someone who ownes the looseleaf version to copy it for me one day. It sure would be cheaper.
