I have Tourmaster Cruiser IIs not slanted. I like them because they are a great deal more substantial than the Saddlemen I had before. Mine are under the p-pad and mounted on these

from Bellacorse. Still easy to get on and off and very secure. After going through 3 sets of slanted bags, it just seemed that a regular box held more stuff, and at this point I'm more into efficient carrying than looking good at the cost of space.
The bags hold up very well. When new I used the waterproof covers once during a 100 mile ride and found out they hold about 2 gallons of water each. I don't use them any more.
The buckles are quick snap plastic and work well, but I would have preferred a bit softer belt to use the belt buckles as I think having a quick snap behind a buckle looks a bit cheezy (HD softlook bags use the same system, I think it looks cheezy on those too). That was one thing I really liked about the Saddlemen, the strap buckle was big and easy.
I carry rain gear, fix-a-flat, extra gas, funnel in the right bag, and toss my backpack with daily work crap in the left bag. I also use a Tourmaster expanding strapped tank bag that stays on the bike.
During daily commuting and several multi-thousand mile fast trips the Tourmaster bags have performed very well so far.
