I'm on Buell's email list. I see a new liquid cooled 1125cc screamer is out for this coming year. Not much info, but a cool video on the Buell site.

Nice looking bike, I like it. I like the way they have cleaned up the exhaust box. I always thought that was very ugly on the old Buells.

Not a bad design at all. Rotax engine ... now we are talking. My Aprilia Mille has a 1000cc Rotax engine and it's really superb. I consider this is a major upgrade for Buell, strategically speaking. Methinks their fortunes are about to change. HD dealers seem to look down at Buells so I think they've just been ... well "somethinged".

I wonder how the dealers will feel about a rotax motor on their shop floor?

Sure will take the wind out of "The Motor Company" now, won't it?

That obsolete design engine has been Buell's albatross since the beginning. Welcome to the 21st century .

I'm really surprised Buell hasn't started using the Vrod engine. That would be a really good combination.

They probably went with the Rotax design, amongst other very valid reasons, because of its positioning flexibilty in the chassis (cylinders at 72 degrees as opposed to 90 degrees). Aprilia did the same (specified in the design brief) on the Mille for that specific reason (60 degrees).
