Wadda maroon! No performance? My Softail will run an easy breathing tonne up with 2 gears to go, meaning I could get a 'go directly to jail (geol)' ticket anywhere in North America with it if I really wanted to. That's performance enough for me. Unreliable? The parts that break the most are made in Japan by the same people that supply the wonderful rice burners. If Japan.inc hadn't killed off all the US parts suppliers by market dumping, maybe Harley would be more reliable instead of just equal to the cheaply made imports. Outdated styling? Why then, is everyone in Japan and China trying so hard to copy them?

What do you mean? He seems to make a lot of sense to me but then again, I've only ridden two HDs in my life. That was more than enough opportunity to realize I did not want to ever again.

That was written 15 years ago by a little boy who likes Japanese sport bikes and HTML. He wouldn't think much of your bike either . I like the average age, weight, tattoo thing. Wonder how that survey would run on this site Bout the same probably. He takes hate to a whole new level. Only thing I can figure is his mom and girlfriend left him for real bikers when he was little and all the girls laughed at his little ------Honda. Quote:

He certainly has a problem, and I can only imagine what most of the HD riders think when they read this dribble. I've got a few mates here in Brisbane who'd like to have a chat to this bloke. I wonder what he has to say about Norton's & Triumph's. Ride anything that makes you feel good, face in the wind & stay upright. Oh well that's my 2 bob's worth Hoffo

What an idjit ! My wife's '07 fuel injected Sportster is a fine piece of machinery , looks gorgeous , and will get you a speeding ticket in second gear . This dweeb would have the same lame discourse about Triumphs .

So will a Yamaha Virago 250! I got a warning on my America for "excessive acceleration" while I was shifting to second. I didn't know there was such a thing. I hope your wife likes riding yur Mom's motorcycle.

I guess he just doesn't get that some people actually LIKE the looks of HD motorcycles and don't feel the need to break land/speed records.
I agree that the larger cruisers are lumbering barges but if you want to ride in comfort and most importantly like the way that "lumbering barge" looks, buy it and ride it, period! One of the main reasons I went smaller (downgrading in CCs to a SM) was because I did get tired of wrestling with a 700+lb barge while commuting to work. The bike was a sream on the super slab but sucked in most commuting type situations.
