Yesterday I started out from daughter's house in Wellingborough england at 0300 hours Tuesday and rode home arriving at 2015hours in Ramsele Sweden on Wednesday,a distance of 2400 kilometers which is 1491 miles,42 hours in the saddle,a few stops on the way, saying hello to Bengt(Piper) and a little power knap on the way but does this put me in the hall of fame?

You can go 500 in 12 and get a half butt. Really. Not kidding. Gotta be timed and stuff though.

It's still quite an achievement, especially considering it isn't tarmac all the way...

There is a woman in my office who is doing the REAL Iron Butt Rally in a couple of months. 12,000 miles in 12 days.

It will be her third IBR. I have so much admiration for her, even though i think she is absolutely nuts for even trying it one time.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

And now for the bad news...I think the Bun-Burner is 1500 miles in 24 or 36 hours. Just missed it, bud; shoulda waved at Piper as you drove by. And you can sleep when your dead.

Big Poppy, Lee, and I did 1,300 Plus in 36 Hours (the first 1037 as a documented Iron Butt ride)...and I can say it was no simple task!! And unless I'm mistaken...Big Poppy and I are STILL paying the price with our back issues...2-1/2 months later
