Hey, I'm not a very active member but I've been around here a long time so that counts for something, eh?
Moving to Denver from Utah in three weeks. Kind of a sudden thing so there's a lot of moving related issues I don't have nailed down yet. And since I will be moving into an temporary apartment situation, there's a lot I can't control. I have a few thing i could use some major help on in the move:
1) Anyone have some garage room to rent out? I doubt I'll have space for 2 cars & 2 bikes at first. Any suggestions of other secure options are appreciated 2) Anyone know of any 2 bed apts available that has a garage and will take pets? 3) Who wants to show me and the wife around the good riding spots around Denver? 4) I have the Bubs megaphones - not loud compared to stright pipes but probably run into trouble downtown, right? Anyone got some stock pipes (ugh) for sale? I left mine at the dealer when I bought the bike.
OK - Thanks a lot. I might not reply to this right away as there are many, many things to do to pull off a move so quickly. Finding storage for the bikes is one of them so I will be checking back, I promise.

As for the pipe issue its still kinda up in the air for me. I have D&D's on my SM and they can pretty dern loud if I want them to. The new law went into effect on July 1, haven't had a problem yet. Actually, I saw a report on the news last night that said that no one has been fined yet. My city riding now consists of cranking 'er up and getting straight on the Interstate and heading to work or ride, both outside of Denver.
As for housing, I'd check around the 'burbs like Wheat Ridge, Thornton, Arvada, etc. first for what you're looking for. Where I live around Highlands is cool, but pricey and not many places with garages to rent.
PM me when you get into to town if ya want, I can show you a couple of cool rides.

I'm down in Parker and there are a few apartment buildings that have garages and allow pets. I used Apartment Finders (www.apartmentfinders.com) when I first moved here and they steered me in the right direction for a lot of places.
I also have a set of stock Speedmaster pipes if you're truly interested, but honestly I wouldn't be too concerned about the new law (unless you're they type of person that likes to let your bike idle in your garage for 30 minutes while you rev it for no apparent reason - then you may need to worry).
I'm currently in between cars and have extra garage space for a bike or two if you just need something short term, but once I get a new car (before the snow flies) I'll need the space back.
What part of Utah are you moving from. We moved here from SLC in 2001.

One other thing, for extra space, it seems like there are self storage places every other block in this town. Honestly, I've never seen so many of these places in any other town!

I might take you up on that - thanks a lot. I'll let you know.

I'm in Holladay right now but I've only lived here about two years. Two very long years. I'm originally from California and Utah was just a temporary stop.
