Is anyone familiar with these pipes? I went to my local Triumph dealership and purchased what I thought were Bubs. Upon pulling them off the parts shelf they found that they incorrectly ID'd package. Turns out they were not Bubs, but South Bay's.....but the box contained 2 left's.

Apparantly these are made by South Bay Triumph of California and the fit and finish is superior to Bubs and that they have a removable baffle. I should have them installed by next week sometime. Sound is supposed to be close to the same as Bubs.

How are you gonna mount 2 lefts?

Well they aren't mounting two lefts.

The dealership tells me South Bay shipped them 2 lefts by mistake...they are aware of the mistake and were supposed to ship 2 rights. But my dealership couldn't tell me an ETA because this was on July 4th. I will follow up with my dealer soon to find out what the deal is???

It's a good thing that you're dealing with Echo dealership in Edmonton rather than Blackfoot in Calgary. Blackfoot would have "made" them fit, and then say that somehow it was your fault!!

Well that's good to hear about Blackfoot Vs. Echo. My patience are running short with Echo. I was considering calling Blackfoot this weekend if this doesn't get sorted out.

Sorry Ceuls, I didn't mean to mislead you. My experience with Blackfoot was very poor. They eventually made good after I went up the food chain, but I would think twice before going there again. I was thinking of taking the extra drive up to Edmonton if I needed any warrantee work.

I spoke with Echo Cycle today. I guess South Bay Triumph has to make 2 rights. Being an unusual request I will probably not have the pipes till end of next week possibly the week following.

I am going to keep my fingers crossed that this is the truth.

Well, after a very long wait, I decided to wait no longer. Apparently South Bay Triumph R&D is piloting a few pipes in North America to see how they will perform. Unfortunately I could not wait any longer.

They informed me its not South Bay Triumph but a supplier who provides the removable baffle/core. If anyone is fortunate to have the patience to wait or manages to get their hands on a set please post pics and an audio file. I would love to hear/see them.

be very thankful you didn't get those pieces of junk. Every set made was damaged or was of inferior quality. The sound was deplorable..no matter what setting baffles you used. They have been discontinued. Get yourself a set of Bubs from BC. You will be happy and the Bubs are tuned for your bike.
