I had the old Nighthawk out with my Harley friends for a Sunday breakfast ride. After eats we go the an HD store for a look see. I shut off, put the side stand down, dis-mount, turned the bars to the left and promptly landed on my back with the bike on my legs. A slight dip in the asphalt rolled her forward. My feet were blocked by a curb as I tried to get some leverage to maintain verticle stature. As I was going backwards, I wondered if my head was going to hit the light pole I had noticed nearby, then I remembered I was wearing a helmet and started to worry about the bike:all this going on in my mind as I was falling. I landed in soft grass with my feet holding the bike off the pavement. The tank was 1/4'' from the previously mentioned curb. My friends were quickly there to pull the bike off my feet and upright her. Not a scratch anywhere on either of us. It just had to be the most embarressed I have ever been. In a Harley store for crying out loud! I thought you guys would appreciate the fact that I was not on a Triumph at the time. It was just an old dude on an old Honda that was being laughed at.
All these years riding and it finally happened to me. I suppose I was past due .

Thank you for keeping our rep intact
Even better that no harm came to you or the scoot.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

OOOPS.....sorry for your incident.

You should have walked straight up to the nearest salesman and asked for a test ride on their newest, most expensive bedazzled beast just to see the look on his face...
