Not usually a huge fan of trikes but I spotted this one when I pulled in to fill up (and of course was already late for work!). Had to snap a few pics coz it looks so well finished. The owner said it was a kit from a place in England (he told me the name but do you think I could remember it?), and he had it built locally from a brand new Rocket. Apparently it runs a Land Rover differential of some description. It must be nice to be some people eh?

At first glance I thought he was pulling a boat...that whole rig is massive!

That looks better than most bike-adapted trikes.

Silly. If I have that much crap to carry I'm taking the truck.

Do you know how long it takes to get anywhere in Oz...it'll mostly be full of water containers..... and fuel cans.
I did have a pic of a rocket trike I saw at a dealers, but I deleted it last week. it was very simular. And didn't look bad.
The trailer does look daft next to it though, couldn't they have given it a matching paint job or something... I might not not have looked as bad.

The trailer's not actually as heavy as it looks - most of it's a pop-up camper. Apparently they ride till they find a nice spot, set up camp for a few days, and explore on the trike. I can think of worse ways of spending a few months.

That is one of the better looking trike conversions I have seen. At first thought about the trailer, I thought that it was one heck of a load to pull on a bike, but then I remembered, that motor is bigger and more poewerful than the one in my car plus has less weight to move. I bet he could pull a boat with it.

As has already been said, I've seen MUCH worse Rocket trikes! If I had to have a trike, I could think of worse ones to have. Doesn't the plate on the trailer have to match the towing vehicle in Australia?

Nope. A trailer here's a separate entity, and gets a separate number plate and it's own registration sticker. It's significantly cheaper than a car or bike of course, and doesn't require separate insurance. It's covered by the towing vehicle's insurance. This means that any vehicle with a towbar (hitch) can tow any trailer that's registered.

I really like the trike. Only one problem I see ~~ his helmet doesn't really mach the bike. For the amount of money he spent on the bike he could have had his helmet custom painted to match.

Maybe he was too busy riding. Or loading that trailer.
