Soren, check back in a week and let everyone know how much your cleaning/maintenance life has changed with your new jack. I couldn't believe how much easier everything was when I finally got mine.

Good deal. I got one about a year ago for $59.99 as a Craftsman Club member.
But I still haven't used it because my Speedy never stops running.

Must be the solid wheels, if you had spokes you'd have used it...

Sure used mine a lot for the same reason.
6 screws 2 rods and 6 plates plus bone graft so the bottom 3 vertabrae are solid

I can already tell you, It took five minutes to swap the shocks yesterday using the jack. I'll lube the chain after work tonight. I bet it will be much better that rolling the bike back an forth accross the parking lot.

If yesterday was a Craftsman Club day, that would have been even better. But definitely a great deal at $20 off the regular price.

Hi Soren,
I picked up an AC/Delco MC jack at O'Reilly's auto parts for $39.95 (a closeout) a couple years ago. I want the Sears' aluminum frame jack that only weighs 44 pounds. Mine weighs in at 88+ pounds and is hard to move from my basement to carport, without using my hand truck or wheelbarrow. It's still a hassle and it is an eyesore if left in the carport.

I was going to buy the craftsman jack but all the negative reviews on the Sears website scared me off. I decided on this one instead.

You can find it here:

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=2792

I can't attest to the quality as I haven't picked it up yet.

I am not associated with Harbor Frieght in any way.

Buy at your own risk.

The Craftsman jack I got is right around 90 lbs or so, it's definitley not liht weight. I saw the aluminium one, but I didn't think that half the weight was worth another $100.

I pretty much do not have a dining area to speak of anymore (I live in an apartment) I have my two rolling tool boxes, assorted power tools and that jack in the dining room. The only one that eats in there is the cat.

I've looked at that jack before (there is a Harbor Freiht store up the street from where I work. It just didn't seem to be as well built. I definitley could be wrong though. I have a tough time buying tools that I want to last a while there. If I just need something quick and cheap and don't care if it breaks, I'll pick it up there.

I have to agree, I won't be tucking my Jet jack in the saddlebags anytime soon.

You'll kick yourself for not buying it the day you purchased your bike, I know I did. I bought one three years ago, it's made me a very popular guy, everyone I know with a bike uses it. It's great for maintenance, but it really comes in handy for washing and detailing your bike while sitting on a 5 gal bucket.

Well you get what you pay for. My buddy bought a harbor freight jack just like the one you pictured. He forgot to lock the lever on it and it bled down overnight and dropped his bike on the floor . Its not a heavy street bike either, it was a '07 DRZ400. They only weigh around 320 lbs. Now for the money he saved on the jack hes spending on a dented gas tank, broken plastics, and scratched frame. My craftsman holds my America up and I've forgotten to lock that lever also (a few times). I guess just remember to lock that lever and you'll be ok. Or for $10 more you get a better all around jack + warranty.

I didn't hcoose the Harbor Freight one because it's cheaper, I was going to buy it because of the overwhelmingly negative comments on the Craftsman one on the Sears website. I'm now starting to get just as many negative comments on the Harbor Frieght one. This may be changing my mind again. Just have to keep looking.
