Hi Folks, My 05 TBA is basically stock. I have added the floor boards, windshield, highway bars and tall sissy bar. Here is my question. Do they make highway foot rests? I am finding that on longer trips, I need to get my legs stretched out. Will highway foot rests work with the floor boards? Thanks, Ron

Nah , you'll have to get engine guards aka highway bars for a mounting point that far north of your floorboards for you to stick out your feet like a Harley guy .

Thanks, but I don't want to be a "Harley Guy". That's the reason I got by TBA. HD's are a dime a dozen. Anyway, will the Triumph Engine bars allow highway pegs to be attached? Thanks, Ron

Disclaimer - just stick your feet out like a Harley dude on long , uneventful stretches of road - it takes an appreciable amount of time for you to return your feet to the brake / shifter configuration should an emergency arise suddenly - have a friend who crashed because his feet were way up there .

ANY highway bars will accept foot pegs , they usually are the folding type , you can find globs of them on any accessory site , JP Cycles , JC Whitey ect . I just said that 'bout Harley dude ' cause they usually ride around with thier feet splayed way out . I like to ride like that.

Im 6-1 and stretch my legs out on the stock pegs. I just rest the back of my heel/leg on the peg. It feels better to me than if I had the same stretch but raised higher (thats what your highway pegs will do). Ultimately...safety and comfort should be your goal so go with what fits. btw...I only do it on long stretches. I learned that after I stretched out and had to get back to the brake ASAP. Not a fun feeling.

I don't stretch out my legs like that except at very slow speeds. Don't like the wind hitting the bottom of my feet like that.

I have some long arse pins meself and I love to stretch em out when riding conditions allow and splay the toes outwards.
I dont have boogiemans highway pegs but I do place the heels of my boots on top of the stock pegs to get as much distance as I can.
Its a nice relaxing position. Boogiemans pegs would facilitate this even better.
Also if you get Brent's rear peg relocators (flames) or the other designs they relocate your pass pegs a solid foot forward and a little lower. If you have long legs it then beocmes easy to slide your boots back and hook the heels on the rear pegs. This places a different stress level on your hip flexors and helps relieve any lower back strain.

I used to ride like that until...While I was riding through the mountains near Jasper. I felt a sharp stinging feeling on the back of my knee. I found a spot to pull over quickly and started yelling through my helmet at my passenger to get off the bike. She was clueless and didn't know what all the fuss was about untill I dropped my pants on the side of a busy road to pick a WASP out of my pantleg. That was about an hour into a six hour ride home. Now I seldom ride with my legs "hangin" out front.

One of the guys I ride with (Kasey) attached a set of highway pegs to his engine bars. It works for him but he's kind of a short guy. I sat on his bike and my legs won't stretch out enough the way he's got it set up.

If you're so inclined, you might get a section of solid square stock, say 3/4" or so, and heat it and twist it Indian Larry style. A pair of U bolts could secure said stock to the front lower frame area, then add some pegs to the ends. A chromer could do just that, or maybe paint it with black texture paint. Less than $100, including pegs. You might want to scope it out with a yardstick first, before you consider buying the square stock, so as not to exceed the width of the factory pegs vs. the header placements. Might not be good to drag the forward pegs in a corner before the factory pegs touch the tar... Maybe it wouldn't matter if the forward pegs pivot up or back.

True that. My legs start going numb after a while of that.
