I am about to write to Triumph regarding the front rotor problems with the Speedmasters. I want to be able to use examples of rotor problems and what was done about it. In particular I want to get something in writing from the Service Manager that this will be covered after the 2 year Warantee Has expired. And what they intend to do about it. I have just read a post that an 07 Speedy also has rotor problems which concerns me as they have a different wheel to my 06 Speedy. Please help guys. When replying we need the year of manufacture. How far travelled before problem was detected. What was done. Did it fix the problem. How many rotors have you had replaced. Has anybody got something in writing from Triumph about this. I will share the results to help other members.

Not sure I can help you. My front rotors were warped, not long after I got the bike. The dealer replaced them without any hassle or problem. Haven't had any issues since.

My sugestion to you is to either get an extended warranty in case the rotors warp after the warranty expires or upgrade to different rotors like the floating rotors Brent sells.

We in the UK have had a big discussion on this subject for years. Triumph are at present replacing front rotors even if the bike is out of Warranty. Mine is infact a year out of warranty and at the factory at the moment going through some tests to see if they can sort this problem out.

I suggest you either telephone the warranty department at Triumph or fax them and get it from the horses mouth rather than going through your dealer who will probably have to do the same.

Triumph reception desk ask to be put through to Mark Swepson (Warranty Manager)
Telephone +44 (outside UK)1455 251700 (business hours 09.00 - 17.00)Don't forgot time difference
Fax +44 (outside UK)1455 453005 (only works business hours)

For your records though just under 11,000 miles on the clock and this will be my fourth replacement rotor, and I have also had a replacement front wheel bike is a BA made in 2004. I know of only one other bike that has been back to the factory and that was Adey's they sent it back to him with replacement rotor and a new front wheel that was last year. He has now got a warped front rotor.

Hope this puts your mind at ease, let us know your outcome if going through the dealer or contacting Triumph in the UK.

Might be worth starting a thread to find out how many bikes on here have suffered with the warped rotor/disc problem and what they have done to remedy the problem..
