he has no clue and just knocks the bike it seems to me. First he says it's a 90 something and it isn't they didn't make them in 90 something. 2nd he says it's a 650 and it is obvious it isn't. As far as lurch and smoke I wanna know what he was smoking to make him lurch into that BS. He is so full of crap his eyes must be brown.

A 90 something Bonneville? No wonder it leaks, there isn't any bike there to hold the oil.

Did I read " a 90 something Bonneville " ?
I don't think Triumph made those during the 90s.
Where is this fool? Why, I oughtta..........

Never mind, someone might send me to anger management training.

Clearly he didn't know the year, looks like the side cover says "Bonneville America" so it's an '02, correct? Looks like it's been well ridden and maybe not so well maintained, blacked out headlight housing, sprocket cover and peg hanger...exhaust pipe looks awful under the saddlebags. Still, he thinks his ST is vastly superior and I'd love to show him how a TBA really passes three cages

He is obviously ignorant about newer Triumphs. He probably heard stories about the old Triumphs leaking oil, they did, and mentioning it gives him some kind of credibility. By the way, many early build date Americas have " Boneville America" side covers. Triumph used them till they ran out. That cardinal red America looks pretty clean to me, we might be seeing the reflection of his bags in the stock muffles.

Sheesh. This guy is so high on himself. Just get out and ride. This guy obviously misses that point. Little subtleties like, "His riding style was true to his motorcycle-kind of basic."[sic] What a turd. If I see him in a rest stop on the NJ turnpike he'll be picking his teeth up off the pavement.

I think what we may be seeing and reading about (sana A-hole author) is a guy who is on a trip that slathers oil upon his chain for lubrication. That would look fairly bad on the muffler and the engine case, while saving space and lubing the chain, and appear to be an oil leak to the untrained. Just my $.02....

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

The Triumph rider could have gave a crap less about the author's high-tech high-dollar everything.
He was just being polite, & the guy's ego had a feast on it.
Disgusting.

Ha! You really have to try to get these bikes to leak. Dork.

That bike looks ridden hard and put away wet. It needs an intervention. Poor thing.

Yup that was an truly awful write up. Can I have 5 minutes of my life back. But what do we expect from a Honda rider. *note not a honda enthusiast. I have only met 2 people wearing Honda shirts at Rallys and I'm pretty sure 1 was a joke.
