Is your AI still connected? I could get twin foot-long flames from my pipes at shutdown before I disabled my AI.
Looked cool at night.

Do you still get the flames with your AI disabled?? I haven't removed mine yet as I quite like the flames.

We have to remember , these are not just bikes , but living things , with all of their quirks and eccentricities . Some cough when they stop , some flatulate when they slow down , some even refuse to get up in the A.M. A few have even experienced vertigo and just keel over . They just need love and understanding .

No Jane, the flames stopped after I disabled the A/I. I do kind of miss it, but I couldn't stand the popping on deceleration. Maybe I could put in an on/off valve.

Rats everyone keeps nagging me to remove the AI but I like the idea of flames shooting out my exhauts!

To get the best flames, what I call the FOOMP, rev the engine and turn off the key with the revs over 2500.

One thing: I've only done this with 16" shorty mufflers, which are open pipes. I have no idea what would happen with baffles.
