While tearing thigs apart for freakification, a rubberband-like part with a mushroom head snapped and fell out of my bike by the battery box. Does anyone know what this is for? Fuse box maybe?

Thanks.

It was a beige piece looked like a rubber band with a mushroom head? It wraps around the fuse box cover to keep it from falling off.

32k, and fuse box cover still there. Rubber band broke before the 500 mile change.

On a side note, my ignition switch cover no longer holds my tool kit in place. One of the tabs broke that held the tool.

I broke one of the tabs early on. Luckily I found the small piece. The airplane model glue that melts the plastic a little fixed it good as new. Still ok after three years and 30k miles.

Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Tool kit? There's a tool kit?

You bet there's a tool kit. It is a huge kit that contains a single allen wrench. Amazing how much stuff you can take off the bike with that single allen wrench.

I use to have that part number for the cover around the ignition switch. I have bought two of those things. They are cheap ($12 or something)
