Hello to all from New Hampshire. I have taken the Triumph plunge in an odd way. I purcased a 2002 TBA with a salvage title and am in the process of "reconstructing" it. I have gathered most of the parts and am soon headed for the inspection. The bike was a PA salvage, and it appears someone took very good care of this bike (very clean, lots of mods/accessories). Any former owner want to step up and fill me in? No, I am not looking to bash you or anything else. I am curious of the history and any info I could benefit from. I plan on keeping the bike when complete (not for resale). Thanks to all for the info this site provides. I may also be in time for the NH ride, but we will see.

Nottingham eh? I grew up in Lee and moved all the way to Northwood. There is also another blue/black speedy owner in Nottingham. Plenty of triumphs in this area for sure.

Yeah but they are in the proper Nottingham... ie the one in the UK - where I was born....
But welcome!

Yep! From what I hear, the winters pretty much suck in both the old AND the new versions, right Dill??? (sorry...but you know how us Californians can be, don't cha?!) BTW Richard, those neighbors o' yours there in NH are GREAT PEOPLE! They've had the misfortune of meeting Yours Truly, and so I know this for a fact. If you need ANYTHING at all, I know they'll be right there for ya!!! Good Luck!!!

According to Wikipedia Basil was a knight (Sir Guy of Gisbourne). Melville Cooper was the sheriff.

Not that it's ever stopped you before, but I feel I must point out that I was neither replying nor referring to you.

Hello and thank you for the warm welcome. Rick is what I go by (anything but severe profanity is welcome) and I hope to stop foot tapping by next weekend. The bike is in very good shape for a total loss (OEM part prices I presume) and is just waiting for the pile o' parts and some new rubber.

Welcome Rick,
Make sure you take plenty of before-after digital pictures. We all appreciate a good transformation.

Which day are we supposed to insult him on?
He was fun while he lasted.

Different Nottingham Gina. These guys are talking about Notting-HAM as opposed to Notting-UM where you were born. Welcome to the club Rick

Welcome PorkChop, You are in good company here, and New England is a great place for getting help from friends. If you can get the friends off their bikes long enough, before the snow comes. Verily I say, these Motorcicles are great! Mine is an antique 2002 with 50,000+ miles. It'll have a salvage title when I'm done with it. It has seen more air time than a B-52. Seriously, these bikes are the best that most of us ever had. Please enjoy yours safely.
Ride Safe,
Dennis
