Yesterday was one of the more interesting days with my Speedmaster. First, I just left work and I'm sitting at a light when another Speedmaster pulls up besides me - that was a first, and according to the other rider, Bill, it was a first for him as well. We road together for a bit on the freeway until I had to exit - the ride was nice and his bike reminded me why I put baffles in my Sceptres - I had been thinking of taking them out, but maybe not...
While sitting at the light on the freeway exit, I hear the guy next to me yell "hey buddy!", I look over and guy says "I love the black bike. Very little chrome, I love it!" I give him a thumbs up and I'm on my way home.
Then, that evening I have a man, wife & son come to my house to look at a car I have for sale - the son is thinking of buying it if he can pull off the funds. Turns out the guy is a Harley rider and even teaches the Harley safety classes. He used to own a Triumph back in the day and only has compliments for my bike and states that he really likes the new bikes that Triumph is coming out with.

They are the best
Let my dying thought be that every mile was fun and let my tombstone read,"They never made one fast enough for me."

I was out on a run with the Harley guys this weekend. 12 bikes mostly Road kings and Shovel heads. And me. Guess which bike had more interest. I love it. Heck most of them know the details of my bike so they can answer the same questions.

I recently was at a local ralley. I got nothing but compliments on my bike and plenty of interest from Harley owners. The funniest thing though, was when a young kid in a "tuner" car was driving down the street and as he passes me, says to his girl 'Now there's an old american bike!'. I just grinned to myself. He probably things Rush is an English rock band.

I hate it when everyone asks the same stupid questions. I wish the retards would just shut up and let me ride...

We should make up little info sheets to let people know who makes triumph, what year our bike is and let them know that yes we like it.
