i was playing with my stock gas cap today and wound up taking it apart. i drilled a small hole throught the lower plastic piece and a small hole through metal piece inside the cap (no holes were drilled through the outside of the cap) the tank vents through the small plastic holes that are under the snap ring that holds the cap together, i can now blow a little bit of air through the bottom hole in the cap making it vented. it only took about 2 minutes to do and seemed like a good idea, i know the flush mount caps are vented but sometimes mine is a pain in the butt. maybe this will help with vapor locking and other related problems, just thought someone else might want to try it------cliff
