Just checked my brakes. The rear is gone. Probably because the front is so warped I have ceased to use it. 3500 miles from a set of pads- that just sucks...

2002 Bandit 1200/ GSXR cams/ 1277 BB Kit/ Holeshot header and can/ 38mm flatslides/ a good head/lotsa hp/lotsa tq- lots of rear tires...

Wow, I thought replacing my first set at 4500 miles was bad.

so what's the average for replacement of pads?

Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

The OEM rear pads seem to go away quickly.
Mine were gone at 4500.
Replaced with EBC sintered. They lasted 'til 21000.

It's really worth it to get that front rotor replaced if it's warped, (especaially since so much of your stopping power comes from the front brakes). Or replace with floaters, which is what I'm gonna do after these wear out. The new rotors should be covered under warantee, just take the bike in and get them to measure the run-out. They should order new ones, and have them on within a week.

I go to parties, sometimes untill 4. It's hard to leave when you can't find the door.

It's wierd. I've just had the back pads changed at 3800 miles...and I'd stopped using the front due to the front being warped. But that was changed too.

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

8000 miles on original pads...second rotor (front replaced under warentee) might need a SECOND front replacement....starting to get that warped feel again

I feel pretty fortunate...just replaced the stock rear pads at 10k miles, and they weren't totally shot. Front pads are totally shot, and I'm replacing them this week.
