I'm at $961 and I haven't even considered luggage racks and windshields, yet. Where do you start? Where do you cut?

All prices are aproximate and include shipping.

KBC FFR Modular helmet - $225
Frog Toggs rainsuit - $70
Nitro Motion Mesh Jacket - $123
Nitro Motion Mesh Pants - $103
Joe Rocket Atomic 2.0 Gloves - $42
Vista Cruise control - $45
Throttle rocker - $13
JCWhitney Driving Lights - $26
Headlight modulator - $100
Taillight flasher (2) - $99
EV disk brake lock - $43
Mastiff chain cinch loop & lock - $72

He was fun while he lasted.

Shoot! $961 is just a good start! I'd hate to say out loud what I spent on this($), that($$), and the other thing($$$$$). Hanging around this site is not for the financially "feint of heart", it does slow down after the first couple of years, kinda'

But it's all worth it, IMO

Personally.
I would ditched the modulators.
And the disk brake lock ( I don't live in a high crime area. Heck I leave the key 99% of the time)

KBC FFR Modular helmet - $225 ----------Don't have one
Frog Toggs rainsuit - $70 ----------I just get wet
Nitro Motion Mesh Jacket - $123--------Makes sense
Nitro Motion Mesh Pants - $103--- no way would I buy them
Joe Rocket Atomic 2.0 Gloves - $42---Good idea
Vista Cruise control - $45-----good idea
Throttle rocker - $13----great idea
JCWhitney Driving Lights - $26--cheap enough
Headlight modulator - $100--- waste of money
Taillight flasher (2) - $99---bigger waste of money
EV disk brake lock - $43---no way would I own one, I get insurance instead
Mastiff chain cinch loop & lock - $72---- no way

Here's your first cut. My Frog Toggs lasted about a month. The fabric gets torn up by the plastic part of the Velcro! Try another brand.

I gotta agree with Brian T, my Frog toggs lasted maybe two times. Also you look like a silly colored parachute going down the street. And if you try to put them on in a hurry...well, just forget it. There are much better products out there to keep you dry....just my humble two cents worth.... ride safe...Gordon

My wife has the tourmaster 2 piece suit great but pricey at over 100 bucks. I use cheap walmart fishing pants 8 or 10 bucks? And a military surplus gortex windbreaker (free from a family member in the military) both much larger than normal and I stay pretty dry.

You need, in order of importance:
Bike
Phone
Credit Card
sometimes, I leave the phone...

I never wanted to lead, and I never wanted to follow. I just wanted to ride.

I use an armored master padlock for my rotor lock when I feel I need it (not often) cost $12 if I remember. The rest except the throttle rocker is a waste of money in my opinion. (driving lights are nice but not the JC lights)

I have put 127 miles on the TBA, had the nerves stripped off in the 60 mph breeze, and revised my list.

KBC FFR Modular helmet - $225
Throttle rocker - $10

It subtracts nicely, too.

He was fun while he lasted.

I hate adding things up because I've spent a small fortune on (and because of) my bike.

I think lots of us could have bought a Harley after we add up all the "stuff" we added, modded,et al to our Speedies and Americas.

Well I suppose that's true but then I'd have a naked Sportster and I'd have to start spending all over again to make it fit me...

I read the average biker spends $1,000 each year on accessories. My wife thinks that is low.

You call that a list??
Is this meant as humor or what? How many of us here have many times that in just one part? Then we buy even more, and more and more....
The other posts are right, this list is just the beginning of a long wonderful relationship with the parts guys and Brent.

Purchased used '04 America May 5th, so far well over $1k in "improvements" and it's only July 1st.

Tell your wife she is correct

IMO, as far as rain gear, I've never had a set that I liked, If it looks like rain and I gotta be there I will probably take the Jeep, if traveling, and I cant help but to get wet, I keep a couple of trash bags in my saddle's. A couple of slits with the switchblade, and instant rainwear. But, as quick as you get wet, when you get out of the rain, the sun and wind will dry you back out.
