Cycle News has a shourt article about news and rumors with Triumph. it said that the 1500 will be an '09 model and will be a parallel twin. It also said that Triumph will create another bike from the 675 motor, the Tiger Cub, but will be much more of an enduro bike than the last model of the Tiger or the scrambler. Plus they also stated that there will be a return of a larger race ready Daytona, using a more race ready tuned 1050 motor.

Yep, it will be 3,000 cc's, water & aircooled with a supercharged fuel-injection system via an open belt primary to a shaft drive sitting on an air suspension with grider style plunger front end....
Seriously, more rumours than substance.
