They peel off easily...and if you want to re-apply, clear RTV silicon - I believe Dinqua gets the credit for that tip; which works well I might add. There are a few old posts on this topic.

Here's another, shows what they look like on Black. For me, the new tank badges and knee pads started my whole quest to further blend the stylings of the '60s with this modern Triumph. By the way, these are the same pads that I had on before the new paint. The painter was able to remove them and reapply with no trouble. Steven

Standard bar, non-standard lights bolted to it. They're the same as the JC Whitney ones a few members use, but I didn't like the tight fit of the driving lights against the headlight.
They're not on the bike anymore - damaged when I dropped the bike and insurance payed for (overpriced) genuine ones. Wasn't that nice of them?

My tank pads leave black marks on my pants when I touch them. I am going to remove them when I decide on a paint job for the tank. Dont like them.

I love mine. Appearance wise, I like the original Triumph retro look of the pads. In use, I tend to hug the tank with my knees sometimes (especially with real cold). I had already noticed a slight mar on the tank which the pads covered up.
