This is a touchy subject  Close your eyes! I hope the mods don't kick my butt, it's to sore for that. What is everyone's cure for Monkey Butt. If ya don't know what it is don't ask, do a Google search.  I've got it and I want it gone. I use Goldbond powder almost every ride but I still get the reda..! Now stop your snickering and give me some ideas.  What say ye ?

Change your undies!...And I don't mean in the "yes mom I 've got clean undies on" I mean drop the cotton and move to the seamless spandex like boxer briefs...under armor makes some and Wally World carries some (cheaper than the underarmor)

If you haven't seen it which by this post I'm guessing that you haven't there's a product on the market called Anti-monkey butt powder. It was developed by bikers for bikers, I use it all the time and I think it works great.

I bought a pair of padded skins that the bicyclists use, for long rides web page Worked fine on my last ride. Also hand wash and dry overnight. Larry

Definitely go spandex, or even a pair of slippery mesh shorts over the boxers/under the pants helps. The problem is the twisting of your skin. Having a slippery layer in there allows your pants to conform to your seat, and your skin/bum to settle into its own shape. Make sense?

I am familiar with the Monkey Butt product. ButI've never used it. Of course this is supposed to prevent the problem but will not cure the problem. Per their web site.
is this stuff that much better than Goldbond powder?

No pinches cotton chonies!!! Get some wicking synthetic underwear from a manufacturer like Wickers, or Terramar, or Under Armor. Get the boxer style, they fit tighter than regular boxers and are stretchy. They pull the sweat away from your skin instead of absorbing it like cotton does. You can get them here: Sierra Trading Post I've found the Terramar to be some of the best fit and quality.

Well, just in case FCTush doesn't see this, I'll offer another product that he swears by:
Boudreaux's Butt Paste
And anybody with "Tush" in his screen name has to be an expert

I never used the stuff but JC Whitney sells it, I bought the Tee shirt for Brett it is really cool.
I tried and have been using AsperCream since the GA. rally it really works and has a nice mint scent.

when i went on my around the country tour in the 70s i used alot of a product called diaperine, comes in a tube, dosnt cost much and will clear up that butt rash pretty quick. its for babies when they get diaper rash. then i also used quite a bit of corn starch in the drawers after i was healed, between the 2 i was able to ride. i didnt know the word monkeybutt then, it was just called a raw a@@ hahahahahahaha but i remember i was sore as he!! and i stopped to visit friends and the wife offered the diaper stuff to help and within about 3 days i was ok to ride, but i had a pretty bad case when i got to Cali. from Mi.

When our nephew was born, we got them some Butt Paste. They thought it was like a gag gift, till all their friends started reccomending it too. I had never heard of it, just saw it at the store and HAD to have it

Had the same malady - took the seat off and just sit on top of the Helmholtz Resonator , the snorkel vacuums away excess moisture for a comfortable ride . Checked the plugs and the porcelain was greenish.

2nd that. Tidy-whities with the seam rub the ****** out of my legs in hot weather. Wally World also sells the long sleeved, lycra type shirts. Similar to Under Armour but about $15. I keep one shirt in my bags during the summer, never know when a cool night will hit and they take up zero space.
