tech@vanceandhines.com Question: Why doesn't Vance & Hines make pipes for Triumphs? The new Triumph cruisers (such as the Rocket III, Speedmaster, Bonneville and America) are popular motorcycles that are gaining a bigger customer base daily. There are not that many aftermarket parts for these bikes, and having an exhaust made by Vance & Hines would be more than welcomed by Triumph owners. Answer: “There is not much of a market for them compared to what we are doing now. I log all requests for applications that we do not offer, so management will see your request. Thank you for your interest.â€Â

Since Vance&Hines doesnt make Triumph pipes its kinda hard to compare to Sceptre, Thunderbike or any other brand of pipes....wouldnt it be good to have yet another brand to choose from and perhaps the more brands the better product? I meen they perhaps trigger eachother to make a better and cheaper pipe then there rival brand...you know..pure old buissnes rule No ONE..

You're right Magnus...Choice is good, competition is good. I've sent countless e-mails to companies trying to get them to offer products for our bikes.

Guess we should consider ourselves blessed by the great array of options we currently have, considering that the market is considered insignificant by some.

I'd actually like to see Hard Krome make pipes for the BA/SM.

I think it's great that people are trying to get other vendors involved. Hey maybe someone had V&H on another bike and liked them? That's all good. Remember, this is not a "I like my pipes" thread

One of my friend's wife put dome V&H Cruzers on her Yamaha VStar 650 and they sound great, they are quiet at low throttle and really crack when she opens it up. V&H lost out early - slip ons would be really cheap to make available for us from their existing stock, just a matter of changing one bracket, after separating the two mufflers on the clone bikes. Personally, I don't want them.

A buddy has VH pipes on his VTX. Top quality chrome and a nice rumble. I have stainless steel Epcos and I have to polish the haze off of them a couple of times each year. No reason for me to change, but for you chromoholics out there, it would be hard to beat the quality that I see in the VH pipes.
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

I just finished browsing your web site and noticed that you do not carry any exhaust pipes for my Triumph Speedmaster. I know your pipes have one of the best reputations fro quality, performance and sound. I think it would be awesome if you made pipes for my bike. Not to mention that they would be easy to engineer since they are straight. If you did make them, you would also automatically have pipes engineered for the Triumph America since they are the same bike and they would fit all years of Speedmasters and Americas.
Thanks, Soren
I'll post a reply if I get one.

honestly when I had my harleys we found that V&H is just a boutique basic sounding pipe that most people/rubs bought because other people have bought them and theres a nice logo on the side to say they are truely Vance and Hienze... we knew that the Bubs, Samson's we had sounded much much better..
I'm new to triumph and can say you guys have a very decent selection of "real Custom made" pipes from companys that obviosly devoted their services to you.. Don't bother with Vance and Hienze (spelled that way on purpose) they will only make a pipe for you when they see real profits and its doesn't matter what bike your on...

I've contacted Hard Krome, but they never replied. I would still send them an email to let them know what you think. You never know what might happen?

I agree with Dill. The more competition that is out there for the Triumph bikes means more parts and cheaper prices. Also, contacting manufactures to get products made is a great idea. How do you think the K&N drop in filter for BA/SM was made? People kept contacting K&N to make one until they eventually did. More products equal a greater selection.

I have a question for you, why don't you make an exhaust for any Triumphs? Triumphs are gaining in popularity rapidly and by spending the time in engineering some after market pipes for these wonderful bikes you'd be not only providing great quality pipes for excellent bikes, but in my opinion you'd also be making a sound investment by putting your hat in the ring of the growing market. Getting in before everyone else does ensures that your name will be on the tip of every one's tongue when they start thinking about upgrading from stock. That's just my thoughts on the subject though.

Yep, I emailed Hard Krome a while back. No response either, but maybe it goes on some beancounter's spreadsheet.

Vance&Hines missed the boat. We've got plenty of pipes available for our bikes, from Dale at Specialty, Thunderbike, Epco, BuB, Scepter and BritishCustoms(???). V and H just missed out, as did Mustang Seats. Another exhaust option is any slip-ons made for the VTwin Baggers (Nomad, Ultra types). I really think they'll match up dimentionally.

You know that, I know that, but V&H dosen't seem to know that. Neither do all the people who have yet to buy Triumphs. I have to agree with Dill when he said...
