I tuned into the "speed" channel last night and a show called "Super Bikes" was on. I only caught the last half but it was showcasing a "How to wheelie" school. The teacher was wearing a blue and tan Triumph "uniform".
They teach people how to pull a wheelie by putting them on a Speed Triple.

It is outfitted with a "wheelie bar" that is connected to the rear brake and also can cut out the cylinders one at a time.

They set it up so you go down a 1/4 mile drag strip and with the wheelie bar at the lowest setting it only lets you get the front tire about 6 inches off the ground before it cuts out one cylinder. Apparently the trick is to get the wheel up, slightly let off the throttle and then get back into it to keep the wheel up. They gradually adjust the bar untill you learn to balance on the rear wheel for the full length of the track!

The show was very interesting and you could clearly see "Triumph" on the tanks of the bikes.

I wish I'd a known...I'd a taped it
