So I think I may have found the deal of the century. Randomly searching through Craigs list I found a guy selling two bikes, an 81 Kawasaki 850 and a 77 honda 550 that "need some work" for $125. I went to look at the bikes today and they both really need some work, like stripped down to the frame kind of work but I'm totally ok with that because what I saw were two complete bikes wih very little rust that could be easily disassembled and put back together. Also, I've already found someone to buy the Kawasaki for $125 so for free I have a bike that looks like this...

That with very little money and a lot of effort on my part could look a little something like this...

I'll keep you updated with pics and updates as go...

Best part about that is you have aTriumph to ride while you're working this one back up to snuff.

True, one of the thoughts that I've been seriously considering is once I've worked this honda to where I like it, sell it and put the money into an older Triumph that I could fix up, if I did that, for an initial investment of $0 to get something I really want...

I've already been lurking a few sites in search an Brit oldie that needs some TLC to bring it back to life.

I know where there is an old Honda sitting outside, that has had my interest for over a year. You've inspired me to stop and pay the guy a visit to get it off his hands.

Good deal man.. I did a 1980 CB650C awhile back that turned out real nice.
I've got an old '73 550 four parts bike... if you need anything off it let me know..
