Does anyone own subject tool? It's part number 32-5508. I ordered the 440 Series Chrome Cover Retrofit Kit and I hate the idea of "springing" $35 for the tool for a one-time job. If someone has it, I'll gladly "spring" for the postage and pay a nominal rental fee. Much appreciated in advance.

Man, you shoulda' got one while they were shipping to you anyway. Assuming they had 'em in stock, that is. They were out when I ordered my kit. I told 'em to hang on and ship complete. It took a while.
Anyway, I've got one if you need it, but after shipping 2 ways, it might not save a lot. That's unless someone else needs it when you're done.

The tool is on its way to Tom. If anyone else needs to use it, get with him or me.

If rhnstn doesn't mind, I'd like to use it when you are done with it. Just ordered the chrome retrofit kit as well. I put my 440's on yesterday, and the polished looked "okay" during the day - but at night they looked way too ugly.
I'm in Virginia (Richmond), so depending upon where you are at I may be able to pick it up from you (I travel to NoVA and Roanoke pretty often).
Thanks!

Here's a link to the cheapest place I could find. Cost for all four chrome end-caps was $109.95. They didn't charge tax or for shipping.

Fine with me, guys. This is a good thing. Hopefully, it'll work out so nobody has to ante up shipping 2 ways.

Good on ya Bill. This 'transaction' is one of the reasons I love BA.com. If we ever meet, I'm buying! No arguments!!! Most of the tool movement I've seen has been with the recipient paying to ship to the next person. That way, it's only one way. The only caveat I would add for you is to keep an eye on where your tool is. Unfortunately, a few have been 'lost' in the past.

Alright I may just have to get on this list. Got a set ordered and should be in the later part of next week. Phil

Passed on the tool today to member lctrc.
A big Thank You to Bill out in Missouri(uh). Just when you think the world has gone down the toilet, someone demonstrates a simple act of trust and you remember there are good people out there.
I hope I can do the same sometime.
Regards,
Tom

Well, don't need the tool, did change them and well worth the look, yes. But if I did it again, would wait for or but the tool. Phil
