Hey Guys - Lots of people have asked us for an oil temperature gauge. Well, we finally have one! It replaces the oil filler cap w/out any tools. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Brent,

A few questions;

Is that liquid filled? there appears to be bubble under the dial.

Does anyone know what the "normal" operating temperature should be?

Are you looking for volunteers to demo this equipment?

Thanks for the aftermarket goodies, my cc is feeling neglected.

Ride Safe

Brent, that's VERY cool (aar, aar).

My questions would be similar to that of Freedom...

What IS normal oil temp? And can I just set up some type of weekly/bi-weekly automatic payment plan to cover the new stuff that keeps coming out?

Can you make it shorter and offer with case-matching powder coat? Any ideas for an oil pressure setup?

Looks nice Brent... my question'd have to be though that since it's not bathed in oil but measuring from splash, how accurate IS it?

I love y'all :-) You kill me...

On a short ride yesterday, I got up to about 180. That will vary from bike to bike and condition to condition. The gauges go up to 300 degrees. If you're close to that, ya might want to let 'er cool down.

Because the temperature probe isn't submersed in oil, the reading can deviate a bit. But measuring the oil temp at any point along its journey through the engine is a good way to consistently monitor the health of the engine's oil.

Yah, I've been eyeing that one for awhile now. I prefer pressure over temp anyway.

Hey Brent, I've been waiting 4 months for a Union Jack fender bib. This temperature gauge looks like alot more goes into making it than a bib. How long of a wait for a gauge? A year? More? Just wondering. Steve

I would imagine Brent is buying the gauges from a vendor, wheras he is making the bibs from scratch...

And I can't see the Bella Corse item either, where is it?

Matt, Your not blind-I'm old and forgetful!
Sorry, it was Bonneville Performance not Bella Corse. Looks like a nice piece-only concern I have is it looks like it might be in the way a little. Brent's temp gauge is more out of the way. I guess if you really wanted to go for it you could have both (no wonder my wife thinks I'm a nut and outta control...) Here's the link:

Looks nice, but the link to the specs didn't work... Over all I don't really like their web site which sucks because they have some nice stuff!! Would be nice if it was easier to navigate and get a better look at their stuff, ya know?

I've had Brent's oil temp gauge for about 3 weeks now on my Bonneville. It's a wonderful instrument.
I wish I could find one for my Hayabusa and Speed Triple.
