Bought a '93 R-100 on ebay, getting it this weekend. I was good this time, got the wife's permission. Never rode a BMW, understand they come with footwarmers. Click

Ominous sounding, isn't it? Says it runs, comes with fork seals and some other seal Beamers have... needs a battery, as long as it runs and wasn't stored in the elements for years, I can handle it.

You Thief!!! That is definitely a steal. They failed to mention the $700 Russell Daylong saddle that's strapped to the seating area (at least that's what it looks like). The guy who built my seat is the son of Bill Mayer, the developer of the DayLong saddle. Man, I hope I find a buy like you just got - I LOVE stealing a motorcicle. I am sure you'll be happy with it - I would.

Got back in town late last night with a '93 R100 RT in the bed of my truck. Fairing kind of beat up, black duct tape holding it together is dried out, I'll have to pick up a roll. Needs fork seals, rubber boot where driveshaft comes out of transmission, battery, and of course I'll change all the fluids. Does indeed have a Daylong saddle. Overall, not as good as I hoped, not as bad as I feared. Just ordered a manual. Looking forward to getting it roadworthy.
Edit: Does anyone know of a BMW site almost as good as this site?

Google Airhead or Oilhead, they should yield some links. Guessing yours is an oilhead? BMW should have plenty of site support, those folks are real enthusiasts.

Thanks, bill. Looks like that is indeed a good one. Some of the other sites I stumbled onto talked more about looong road trips, I need more technical kind of talk.
