For the third day in a row when I got on the bike to come to work it was like slipping on my favorite trousers. And, for the thid day in row, when I got out on the road it was like everything and everyone else was moving in slow motion. It literally took me months of constant riding on my other bikes to get to this point and I'm just now putting my first 1K on this TBA. I could be in love...

I just picked up my TBA 2 weeks ago. 1400 kms later, I just can't keep the smile off my face. What have I been doing for the last 25 years? Great bike.

Yes, I know the feeling of freedoms "whoosh" as you glide the magic black ribbon while passing everyone else that "seem" to be moving so slow...revel in that nirvana..because that is all just before the Oklahoma Highway Patrol pulls you over for a 105 in a 65 !

Been riding to work every day now for a week( just switched jobs) rain or shine, about 40 mins out, much longer on the way home (hee hee) and I can't get enough. I have almost 16K on her. I had a nice ride in with a guy on a Beemer, bit of a race... he probably didn't think I could keep up, and alas he was wrong.

The good part is when you are trying to turn into work and the bike shakes its head and says. "No, the mountains are that way!"

It does seem reminiscent of throwing a leg over a trusted horse does it not? Reminds me of so many stories of horse and men.
Some days you just feel the zone in a major way when you ride. That feeling of enhanced fun/elevated level of confidence.
I felt that way last night on a nice warm Tucson evening around ten PM on a twenty five mile night ride through central Tucson heading due west into Tucson Mountain Park...a nice ride when your feeling your oats.
You just feel the need to twist the throttle a little more and hit the high apex of the twisties just a little harder than the norm.

Hi All I get my speedmaster tomorrow saturday, a black and red 2004 model with loud short pipes and a more comfortable saddle for the good lady, but otherwise unmolested and only 2000 miles on the clock. It's not my first bike, I've been riding 23 years now I started with BSA's tried a few japo crapos, and for a short while a 2002 bonneville. It's due to rain tomorrow but I dont care I'm getting my new bike WAAYYYHHEYY. sorry boys but I had to tell someone, Ian

Okay Kevin...Now you've got me really confused with all this flowery(but nicely put) prose of yours here. I thought one was supposed to feed those oats to that darn horse...NOT "FEEL" 'em???!!! AND...who the heck is this Norm guy, anyway???

Norm is the guy in a back room in Washington DC who is responisible for standards of motorcycle throttle application standards. When you exert a little more pressure on your throttle to add a bit more fuel you are exceeding the "The Norm" He will sense this from afar and if it continues unabated he will direct the throttle police to your neighborhood and you will get a ticket for speedin.
Norm sent me a ticket for speeding last month along with an engraved invite to attend traffic school or pay a fine.
Norm always gets his.

OUCH!!! Sorry to hear that!
Norm....sucks, huh?!
What is Norm charging you for his "services"?
(and here I always got the impression that when he wasn't stuffing himself at the Hungry Heffer, he was sittin' at that same old bar stool talkin' to that mailman!!)
