Update: I ran a coax cable to the garage, and now have net access. Soft drinks are chillin', and the food's in the fridge.
Looking forward to a good turn-out, Uncle Charlie

I hear ya Frank, its all good. One of these days you'll get sprung from the night shift!! Charlie, I'm shootin for the 8am boat, be there before 10. Anything you can get started on as far as removing stuff from you bike would be a great time savings for the belt install! See ya in 2.

Also huge thanks to UC! I made the 8PM boat no problem. Ran into the SAME guy who rode the morning ferry with me! Got to talkin and turns out he's a regional sales manager for Drag Specialties! Loved my tach Also running 440s on his Road king. That bike has a SWEET lower rear tail light. Hard to describe. Anyway, he was pleased to know the tach works well on our bikes!

Nah us Moderators were talking about that problem just yesterday. Actually FJ brought it up. It's a server problem. It basically "times out", so the safe thing ism if you are working on a long one, type it in sometihng OTHER than this forum, THEN open it up and just paste it into the box. Done.

Well I don't know if he stole any of your tools but hey 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Good time Charlie thanks. Got to see some different things and picked up some knowledge in the process. Thanks to John and Brett for the help on balancing the carbs. Popping alot on the way home but slowly adjusting air mixture screws. A few more spins on the bike today should do it. Charlie if you get the time out thing when typing a post highlight it and right click to copy. Go to a new window and paste. Works great as I am slow typer and this always happens to me.Thanks again hope to see you all in August.

Slide show works fine. Gotta love the "making excellent mechanics out of ordinary men" tee shirt. I want one, too!

Golly - all's I need to 'borrow' is the compressor, the ratchet combos, the big lift, and the garage itself. I figured with Brett getting his new 2-11 in progress mask, we'd have gotten the job done this trip. [The garage could be tough to fit on the luggage rack-might have to sawr it up a little first]
My wife was amused that I returned home with 6 baby Hickory trees. You know how it goes with swamp yankees and stuff that's free... They all survived the trip, and are standing by with their tap roots in a glass of water with a pinch of No'walk Pilgrim dirt thrown in for good luck.
If you spy any Copper Beech seedlings...

Erwin, Those are great! I especially like the last one. Martin trying to steal my chrome choke knob!
I worked untill 4am polishing my Bubs, slept 'till noon, and put my bike back together. Rode it about 20 miles to stretch out the belt, and get beer in NY.
I'll tell ya what, it's the cat's pajamas! Between the QPD belt drive, and the T-Bird cush drive, it's smooth as silk! No more clunking, or chain whine. And, the drop in rpm's per mph is pretty cool as well. I don't think I'll be looking for 6th gear anymore.
I'm gonna post this now, and go back and add to it later, so I don't run outa time.....

Glad you like the pics. I want a belt drive too!! Any idea what the ratio is? I remember reading it was like adding a 17.5 front sprocket.

I think the ratio works out between the 17 and 18. If I e-mail you some finished product pics, can you post 'em for me? Thanks, Uncle Charlie
