I'm in the midst of attempting to install my ISO grips which just arrived. It seems that I have loosened the cables as much as I can by loosening the retaining nut, and then turning the barrel adjusters as far as they will go ccw. The top cable is just about to the point where I can push the ferrule through the hole, and then get the cable out of the opening, but the bottom cable is not that loose, so I seemingly can remove neither. What am I missing to get them loose enough to get them out? Thanks.

Have to remove the control clamp from the handle bar to allow you to turn the grip past the stop point or remove the cable from the carb end to allow that extra slack.

I'm not what exactly the control clamp is - I think I have removed about everything.
