Has anyone used the Rivco risers on a SM. eddy said he thought he saw a pic of a set of black risers on a SM some where on this site. I picked up a set of Kuryakyn risers on eBay. They have the to be ground down to fit, small nub on the bottom of the riser. Only paid 35.00 for them. Also have to drill out triple tree, and get longer bolts. I like the look of the black Rivcos. I posted a set of adapter studs that will make it so you don't have to drill the top tree. I believe those risers with the nubs are duce risers if I remember correstly. The rest are flat on the bottom. I looked at those before I bought the ones we have. Loco posted these risers.

Thanks Dog, I will probably give the kuryakyn risers a try. Will most likely have to reroute cables no matter which ones I use.

if you are staying with drag bars you shouldn't have to reroute anything. I had to reroute and change to America cables to go with tall (stock SM) risers and America bars. I am now going to 4 1/2" tall 1 1/2" pull back risers.

Going to get out the angle grinder tonight, and grind off the nubs. Will have to find harden bolt the ones that came with the risers are to short. Lucky there is a place a couple of miles up that specializes in all types of hardware.

Don't need anything special a good grade 5 bolt will work just fine grade 8 would be even better but not really a must. I have used stainless even although not as strong as the other 2 IMO.

Hey Dogg, I'm going to order some of the 6" HD duece risers with a 2 1/2" pullback, similar to the ones that SalMaglie has on his Speedmaster. I'm going to keep my stock Speedmaster drag type bars. Would you happend to know where I could find out any info. on where to get the 1/2 to 10mm adapter studs that you were refering to? Are they sold somewhere on-line or did someone have their local machine shop make them? I think I saw another post where these studs where mentioned. I'd really like to try to use those studs so I don't have to do any top tree drilling. (In case I want to go back to the stock config.)
Thanks in advance for any advice, Bob
