How ya going mate, I recently got a 06 BA with 2500kms on the clock. It has Thunderbike long pipes fitted, and the snorkel and AI removed in a stock airbox. It also has a DNA filter. The local Triumph dealer in Brisbane did a service on it and put 120 jets in it and it runs like shite.I spoke to T/Bike and they said for best performance install a Freak with a Dyno jet kit. They also said that it would run lean with the DNA filter. In summary they said if I kept the stock air box with the DNA filter to increase the main jets to 130-135.I really dont want to spend to much doe as the freight costs from the US to Oz isnt cheap What do ya reckon. Ghetto Freak?
I bought the Freak but I've seen some threads about a "ghetto Freak". I think you basically just buy the filters and cut some openings in the stock air box. You may even get away with crossing the filter numbers to something available nearer to where you're at.

Hey Mate: Sounds like me and you have about the same set-up, I'm running T-Bike pipes. Uni Filter, snorkle out and AI removed on my 05 TBA and I used Pat's jetting calc http://www.dinqua.com/ and it set me up with 132 mains 42 pilot's and I have my mixture screws out @3 turns and my bike runs and sounds Great. Hope this helps

You shouldn't have to pay the shipping. Like these guys said the Ghetto Freak gets you the same results I think as the freak. You cut away most of the airbox and install the K&N pods and the jets you should be able to get anywhere. Yamaha , Honda , Kawasaki , Harley , etc all used Kehin carbs. Make sure you have an example as the jets for Harley are not all the same there are 3 styles that were used in the carbs for those and only 1 fits ours. I also found a Macuni (sp?) jet fits too but not sure what carb it was from. The head was slightly smaller but other wise the same.I searched Ghetto Freak and couldn't find it but I know it's posted with pics and instructions. Be sure to get rid of the AI if it isn't already gone.

Do you want maximum performance (translates into more $$$ with freak and all that), or do you just want it running right? Your bike will run very well if you just get it jetted correctly, which is cheap if you do it yourself. I recommend you get it running correctly first before you go to the freak or pods or any other performance upgrade. Otherwise you won't know if the upgrade does any good. This is another example of where the dealer service guys don't know Jack. They should have known better than to install 120 jets. Those are stock and your bike isn't stock. That's way too lean for your setup. Learn to do your own work and you will much happier in several ways. First, your bike will be taken care of much better it you do it yourself, and second, it's very satisfying to crack the throttle and feel the power and know you made it that way. Re-jet to what they say above (132 to 135 sounds about right), and put in new plugs at the same time. Go out and run it hard, and then pull the plugs and check for color. There is a plug checking procedure around here somewhere if you want to follow it. Biker used to recite it like a mantra. Good luck, Cody P.S. dinqua.com/ has a really good jetting procedure, and lots of other good info too.

You can get a 5122 Dynojet kit from Serco thru any bike shop in Briz. Around AU$90 from memory.
