My mother dug this old family photo and showed me this. This is my grandmothers(on my mothers side)paternal uncle Jimmy Gordon. Mom told me that he was a big motorcycle enthusiast that went to the Isle of Man race every year. I thought it was cool since that of all the bikes I could of chose that I ended up on a Brit bike. Now I have my guesses but do not know for sure(even under a magnifying glass)but dose any one have any ideas on what the bike is?

Do you know approximately what year the pic was taken? That may help.

Don't know for sure. My best guess because of the forks and it looks like a single cylinder it's early to mid 30's.

Looks like a Norton Model 30 with the towershaft cam drive. Early 1930's vintage.

Great photo. Met my neighbor the retired Triumph dealer last week. He had a bunch of old racing pix. I copied them poorly with my camera phone: That's Gary Nixon, who rode on his team. Nixon & Bart Martel:

You know after looking at them both I think you may have the bike. The forks, rear, front fenders engine shape, and exhaust looks the same. Thanks for the pick! I knew about this site but could not remember for the life of me the address.
