Hi all I would like to have a play with the mixture screws on the carbies. I will need to remove the cover over the boss that hides them. Without drilling what is the best way to remove it. I would like to do this with the carbs in place. Hope I explained this right. Regards Derek

Drilling is how I did it. Very slow and easy, as soon as you break through just stop and pop it out with an awl.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

yep my 04 had the blanks too. Dremel works well with a small bit and flexshaft makes it even easier. It isn't very thick so be careful. After you have a hole a pick or all work very well to pop it out , they aren't in very tight.
Mine was almost flush if it's up inside better make sure thats not the head of the D screw you are felling or seeing.

My 05 TBA Didn't have them, I thought they were there but it was just the D Screws. So Like Dog33 said make sure before you drill. May just want to get the D tool from Brent (you will need it to adjust the screws anyway) and see if it fits before you drill.

Get a small mirror. You're probably feeling the D-shaped head of the screws, or looking in the wrong spot. They are right next to one of the carb heater wires.
