Ok, I need some help. A long while back I wrecked my 02 America. Short part of a long story, the front tubes are both bent. I'd rather have new or good used. I really would try to get them straightened as a last resort. I checked with a couple of dealers and they want about $200 each. I checked with a couple of speciality fork manufactures and they said they do not make them for the America. I'd been told they could be had for about $75 each but where? Will the HD 41mm tubes in the right length work? Also I remember a post about using a Suzuki 650 front end. Would just the Suzuki tubes work? I've looked for a used Suzuki 650 front end but havn't had any luck. Any help or good advice will be appreciated.

if you send the old tubes to Forks by Frank they will make them for you. I don't know if being bent is a problem for them.

I've been working on mine... and I couldn't re-use the originals. I got a set from a very nice member on here that were slightly out of line, so took them to get them straightened. They wouldn't use them as they felt the orginal ones were too thin. So they've put new ones in. At £100 each side. That's roughly about $200 at the current rates. I paid £300 in total and that was fit to go back on the bike....which they are. (I'm just waiting for the wheel now..) If you are gonna rebuild, get them made and get them made stronger.

03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel...
06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel...
09 America - It's very blue....

Thanks to all. Dog33 I'll see what Forks by Frank can do, they told me that they did not make them for the America but I'll ask them if they can remanufacturer them. And GinaS, that price is about what I was quoted. If Forks by Frank cannot help I'll have to bite the bullet and get an OEM set. If I can get F By F to look at mine there is a chance that some other fork may work. If that's the case I'll post in the Tech Vault.

I posted that because I have checked with them twice about buying some. Like you they told me they didn't make them yet but if I wanted to send my old ones in they would make me some.

I would think they would as long as the travel is right, and you can get the axle to fit in there. Even if they were a tad too long, you could just raise them thru the trees a little.
